First post!!

Welcome to the blog for Valley Thunder: The Battle of New Market, which will be released in 2010 by Savas Beatie. This is my first book, the result of about 2 1/2 years of employment at New Market Battlefield State Historical Park and about 10 years of research on the battle. This is also my first attempt at having my own blog.

Stay tuned for updates on the book and my various ramblings about the Civil War, World War II, and of course the Battle of New Market.
